Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child
Every year, Niemonds Church collects shoeboxes and shoe box items in support of Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry. OCC gives away hundreds of thousands of gift boxes to children and youth, around Christmas-time, that include basic living necessities--toothbrushes, hair combs, washclothes and towels--and also, small toys and candy. If you are interested in participating in this ministry, please see the "Year-Round Gift Ideas" listed below. And say something to one of the Pastors, Elders, Deacons, or our Church Secretary. We will begin collecting boxes in early October, and will ship them out to OCC headquarters in late November. Let's bless as many children as possible this Christmas season, not only with material aid, but especially, with the gospel of God's love and salvation for them personally!
Proverbs 19:17, "One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his good deed."
Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ."
Galatians 6:9-10, "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."
Philippians 2:4, "Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."
1 John 3:17-18, "But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth."
